Everything You Need to Know – Facebook Timeline Page

Are you ready for it?

There are only 10 days left before Facebook converts everyone’s Page over to the Timeline on March 30!

From the feedback I’ve gotten from people, there still seems to be a lot of questions
around what we can and can’t do with the new Timeline.

To help you with the transition, I created a rockin’ video where I walk you through what you should know about all the changes.

You can watch it here:

Yes, it’s VERY different from the “normal” Facebook page that we’re accustomed to and it may take some time to get used to.

Change is good, though, right?

To be honest, I’m still getting used to the Timeline myself.  It’s definitely growing on me, though.

I like it because it seems to be all about building an identity for your brand.  As I’ll show you, there are some cool ways to get creative in promoting your business.

What About My Default Landing Tab?!

Without a doubt, the question I get the most is what’s happening with the default landing tabs.

This is where you can have non-Fans land on a custom tab, offer them an incentive to Like or opt-in and then they get access to your offering or special content for Fans-only.

The bad news is you can no longer set a default landing tab.  People finding your Page will land on your Timeline.

The GOOD news is that custom tabs still exist and they’re now referred to as “apps.”

If you used to have a default landing tab, now just set up an app.

Each of these apps has its own URL, so you can send people to any custom app that you’ve created using this URL.  For example, you could use this URL in your Facebook ads, your website, your email signature and Twitter.

Fear not!

The video I created walks you through all of this as well as all the other changes you should know about the new Timeline.
