As you can see by now, there are several ways to leverage Facebook marketing to generate leads for your business.
And in strategy #6, we’re going to look at another proven strategy for you to test.
I’m sure you’ve seen posts like these in your News Feed:
This an example of a Facebook Offer, and they’re a great way to promote your business and generate leads on Facebook.
You can take advantage of them whether your business is completely online, a brick and mortar store, or both.
They work so well for a few reasons:
they stand out from the rest of the content in the News Feed
they tend to be “special” one-time offers which creates scarcity in a person’s mind (I better get that now!)
when someone claims an Offer it shows up in their News Feed so all their friends see they claimed your Offer (word-of-mouth advertising for your business).
Offers are essentially another form of Facebook advertising, so you do have to pay for them. You can control the budget, though.
How to Generate Leads with Offers
As with any advertising, you’re going to have to test different offers until you find one that really rocks your lead generation machine.
Here are a few examples that are worth testing:
offer your free giveaway (the one that people opt-in for on your site)
offer a free trial to your product or service
offer a big discount on one of your products or services
Remember, since you’re collecting leads you want to send people to a landing page where they enter their emamail address in exchange for whatever it is you’re offering.
Step-by-Step: Putting Your Offer Together
The below video is a tutorial which takes you through exactly how to set up a Facebook Offer to start generating leads today.
Not a visual learner? Step-by-step instructions are below.
Click the Offers, Events + icon in the status update box
A drop-down menu appears
Choose In-Store, In-Store & Online or Online Only
Enter the URL of the landing page you want to use
If you want to use a redemption code, enter in the field
A box appears where you can enter the details of your Offer
Click the Upload Thumbnail link
The photo will size to 90 x 90 pixels. Use something that’s eye-catching!
Write a Headline for your Offer
You have only 90 characters, so make it compelling
Click the number hyperlink next to “claims” to limit the number of Offers available (you can select a preset number of Offers or create a custom number of Offers)
Click the date link to limit the length of time your Offer can be claimed
Add any terms and conditions to your Offer
Click the Preview button
You see the Offer as it will appear on your Timeline
You’ll receive an e-mail notification showing what Facebook will send out when someone claims the Offer
If you need to edit further, you can click the Edit link
From here, you can promote your new Offer
If You Don’t Test, You’ll Hate Yourself Later
Ever heard the saying, “find what works and keep doing it”?
Finding what generates the most leads for your business comes from testing.
If you try Offers and they don’t work for your business the first time, consider changing it up a bit.
You can revise the offer or image or ad copy.
You might even want to try running it on different days of the week to see if that helps.
Keep testing until you find the right combination.
You’ll have found another cost effective and efficient way to generate targeted leads for your business.
