Hey I'm Rick

So, yea, people do call me the Iron Man of Facebook ads. Here’s why...

Rick Mulready

Well, Iron Man has a strong ability to see right from wrong, and uses his protective suit to draw power from his heart. He also uses intelligence to his advantage to automate business systems that help people…

He’s known for telling the truth, no matter what. And is it a coincidence that Iron Man lost his dad at a young age, just like me? I think not. We’re basically the same person… agree or disagree?

But really, I am just a New Hampshire-born dude who’s probably the most diehard Washington Capitals fan you’ll ever meet (seriously, you don’t want to sit next to me during a game)…

I’m also obsessed with fly fishing, U2, thrashy bands like Metallica, and pretending to be a local while sauntering around Paris with my wife, Amy (…she plays along, because she’s good like that). Oh, and I love me some Bulletproof coffee!

So how did an East Coast guy end up falling in love with the West Coast?

I got tired of the brutal winters 12 years ago… so I traded my puffer coat for flip flops, drove 3,000 miles to Southern California in my gold Honda Accord and never looked back.

It’s 11:15 am on a Friday—

You roll up to your favorite brunch spot, park yourself at the best table (overlooking the waves, of course) and inhale the salt & seaweed combo.

“I’ll have my usual,” you say with a relaxed smile:

3 fried eggs
1 avocado
1 side of spinach
2 links of sausage
2 cups of coffee
2 slices of gluten free bread (with jam)

It doesn’t matter how many times you order
the Fried Egg Platter, it always tastes the same—
like freedom (…with a hint of strawberry jam).

Freedom to ask yourself: “What am I working on this afternoon?” Or, even better: “Do I want to take the rest of the day off?”

Freedom to turn your work on or off when you want, so you can finally control your day, month and year…

Freedom to sit down for coffee and open the latest Mitch Rapp thriller novel, instead of feeling pressured to open your email incessantly…

Freedom to devour your toast & jam without thinking about your business, clients or cash flow…

Those are the massive wins I want for you and myself
(…hey, I’m a work in progress—ask my wife!).

And I’m determined to help you GROW, SCALE & AUTOMATE your business, so you can sample the eggs, avocado and freedom, too.

Cause I’m telling you—it tastes so damn good.

(BTW you’ve got spinach stuck in your teeth.)

If I carried business cards in my pocket, which I don’t…

Prepare yourself for the infamous Mulready humblebrag in 3, 2, 1…

I’ve been told I’m kind of awesome at breaking complex topics (like Facebook advertising & funnels) into bite-sized Reeses pieces you can digest easily—E.T. style).

And my number one goal is to help you create consistent leads, income and freedom in your own business, in less time.

If you’re a small business owner ready to use online marketing, specifically Facebook™ ads, to strategically grow your business without the overwhelm, you’re in the right place.

If you’re a FB ad manager or online marketer and you’re ready to implement a killer Facebook ads strategy for your clients or the company you work for, you’re also in the right place.

So tell me, what’s holding you back from getting yours?

After working with hundreds of business owners, I noticed three common mistakes that prevent even the most ambitious business owner from achieving freedom…

When you’re constantly worried about the next leadyou’re consumed by FEAR…

But when you automate your sales process (AKA your funnel), so you have a constant stream of leads, clients & cashyou can allow yourself to be consumed by CREATIVITY…

Instead stressing, you can calmly say:

“Cool, I know I’ve got $3K coming in this month from my FB ads, now I can focus my energy on scaling the business.”

That’s the confidence and control you need.

(And I’m here to help you get it.)

Stop that! You don’t need an amazing blog post, video series, podcast or email campaign before you can sell something.

(I am proof that you don’t need ANY of that.)

When I launched my first course in January 2014, I had 800 people on my email list, all of whom didn’t want ANYTHING I was selling. I tried not to take that personally.

So I ran Facebook™ ads to promote a webinar, ended up selling my first course before I even created it… and made $30K in 45 days.

And you know what? I didn’t have ANY content yet.

Because you don’t need contentyou need a new mindset.

(And I’m here to help with that, too. Cool?)

In order to succeed with Facebook ads, or any form of online advertising for that matter, you gotta be willing to play the game.

That’s rightwinning at Facebook ads is about testing different things until you find what works. It could take days or months to figure it out.

I’m not the most patient person (just ask Amy, my wife), but being in the online ads world for 17+ years now, I’ve learned the power of patience.

If you want to win, don’t give up when your tests aren’t quote-unquote successful. With each test, you’re THAT much closer to figuring it all out.

I had to kiss waaay too many butts when I worked in corporate Internet advertising.

Sucking up to twenty-some-year-olds who don’t give an iota about you or your life is part of the game, if you want to rise to the tippy top.

Yeah, that got old real fast.

So I made a new plan.

After working with brands like AOL, Yahoo!, Vibrant Media and Funny or Die (yep, Will Ferrell is my boyno, not really)…

I took a deep breath & somersaulted into the bottomless (and oh-so-beautiful) world of Facebook™ advertising…

I was hungrier than a great white to devour EVERYTHING I could hunt down about FB ads (…and yes, I just compared myself to a mackerel sharkTHAT JUST HAPPENED).

I became obsessed with testing campaigns for every business owner I met…

And by the end of 2012, I gave my six-figure corporate job the bird and started my own business, focused on teaching my own lead generation system to small business owners & online marketers.

I had arrived, finally.

I suppose you could say the FB algorithm and I lived happily ever after… or did we?

(See how I left you in suspense there? Totally intentional…)

Here I was teaching people how to automate their businesses and live a life of freedom, but I struggled with it myself.

Sure. I had automated my business… but I hadn’t taken advantage of the freedom I was supposedly creating.

I hadn’t disconnected from my iPhone long enough to pursue other interests, hobbies and adventures that were waiting patiently on my bucket list.

Leisure doesn’t come easily to a Type-A person like myself…

(Like I said, I’m a work in progress.)

But you know what? I never gave up on creating the type of freedom-fueled life I imagined for my family… and myself.

Because let’s face itlife is pretty short.

I lost my favorite person in the entire world when I was only 25… when my dad, Jim Mulready, passed away from colon cancer.

As a kid, he always told me to “lighten up”. And those words light a fire within me even to this dayI’m constantly reminded not to take my business so damn seriously…

AND to have fun, because why the hell not, right?

Even though I’ve got the best job in the world, I don’t want to spend the rest of my life working non-stop.

That’s not why I left the corporate world. And that’s not why I help business owners like yourself grow, scale and automate.

This year is the first year in my business where I’m not trying to squeeze my personal life into my business plans…

I’m finally planning my launches, projects and events around my personal priorities… like flying to Montana to go fly fishing 3X this year.

And traveling around Europe (Amsterdam, Paris, London, Paris again) for three weeks with my wife, because I’m a romantic at heart.

Why am I telling you this?

Because you have the power to prioritize your life, your relationships and your interests above your business, too. You don’t have to sacrifice one for the other.

Because if you want to taste the fried eggs, avocado and freedom…

This is your shortcut to success.
